Pastor Ronald Miles has been in ministry for over 30 years, having preached his first sermon in 1976. During his time in ministry, Pastor Miles has served as an Associate Minister at Randall Memorial United Methodist Church and Shaw United Methodist Church, respectively, as well as the Minister of Administration & Education, Lay Speaker, Sunday School & Bible Study Teacher and Chairperson of both Family Ministry & Education.
Pastor Ronald Wyatt Miles, is a native Washingtonian. He was raised in the United Methodist Church and is a "son" of A. P. Shaw United Methodist Church of Washington, DC. He accepted his calling while attending Shaw, under the leadership of the Pastor, the late Elder Everett W. Stevenson, Sr.
He holds a degree in Business Management and is currently studying in the International Seminary.
Pastor Miles married his childhood sweetheart, the former Christine Martin, who serves as Co-Pastor of Bethel Christian Fellowship. God has blessed them with three daughters, Sherita, Sheron and Dana and seven grandchildren.
Employed by the U. S. Department of Defense for 25 years, he retired to pursue full-time ministry. This pursuit led him in 1996, to birth Bethel Christian Fellowship, home of the "Mighty Warriors Ministries." His passion in ministry is to "Restore" and to "Reconcile" all men back to God; for truly the harvest is plenteous, but the laborers are few! For sure, the Lord continues to bless, as the ministry has grown immensely since its inception.
Finally, Pastor Miles is excited about this hour in the life of the church and is preparing himself and Bethel Christian Fellowship for the next move of God.
Co-Pastor Christine Miles born and raised in Washington, DC where she attended DC public schools as well as the University of the District of Columbia. While pursuing a degree in Psychology, she was also employed by the Federal Government for a number of years and later worked for the American Chemical Society in downtown, D.C.
Along with her husband, Pastor Ronald W. Miles, they have raised three (3) beautiful daughters, and are now proud grandparents of seven (7).
Raised in Shaw United Methodist Church under the guidance of the late Rev. E.W. Stevenson, Sr., Pastor Christine received her call to ministry. It was under Elder Stevenson's nurturing and encouragement that she began to pursue ministry and to teach the Word of God.
Having served in numerous roles in the church over the years, the biggest challenge came when she and her husband together founded Bethel Christian Fellowship, Mighty Warriors Ministries. Initially serving as First Lady to Pastor Ronald Miles, she was later ordained by Bishop Gilbert Coleman, Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship, Philadelphia, PA to serve as Co-Pastor.
Convicted by the move of the Holy Spirit through His Word --- as recorded in the book of Esther, Pastor Christine heeded the voice of God---responded accordingly, and has since then, walked in her calling.
The name of our church is Bethel Christian Fellowship. This is what the Lord gave to Pastor Christine during the birthing of the ministry.
Bethel means House of God-- A town about 12 miles north of Jerusalem (Gen. 28:19; 35:15).
Jacob had a life-changing, name-changing experience as God dealt with him at Bethel. (Gen. 28:10-19; 35:1-15). Jacob experienced God there, and he later came back there to another experience with God.
